A Level Celebrations Continued...
Info Updated August 2011
Bexhill Sixth Form College has a long history of being the first choice for students wanting to study A levels in Hastings and Rother with around 1000 entries each year. The College has a proven track record of outstanding results above the national bench mark.
The College, which specialises in 16-19 education, has over four times the number of A level entries compared to other Schools and Colleges in the area, and therefore offers the widest range of choices of A levels.
The knowledge and experience of the expert teaching staff who deliver the courses ensure the College maintains its record achievement of being above the national average for A level passes for 18 years consecutively.
This year students achieved 98% pass rate with 74% of grades at A*- C also outperforming the national bench mark.
Student’s satisfaction speaks for itself. On Results Day students commented:
“So pleased with my results; I’m going to Warwick University and just can’t wait to start now!”- Xenia Millar received an A* in Psychology, an A in Maths and a B in Law.
“I’m absolutely over the moon, it hasn’t sunk in yet. So glad the last two years have been really worth it! I’ve got into Sheffield University which was my first choice and cannot wait to start.”- Lauren Walter was ecstatic with her results as she received 3 A’s in Psychology, Law and English, and on top of that also received a Gold Crest Award.
“I’m so happy with my results; I didn’t think I would get into Uni, so I feel very surreal at the moment!”- Charles Murrell received C’s in Biology and Geography, a B in Geology and is off to Keele University.
“Couldn’t be happier with the Results I got today and cannot wait to go to University”- Mercedes Goldman took four A levels and received a B in Spanish, A in French, B in Chemistry and another A in Economics, Mercedes was thrilled that she was accepted into Southampton University.
This history of results cannot be matched in the area and clearly confirms why Bexhill College remains the leading A level provider with applications well above expected levels for 2011 entry.
