Bexhill College Wins Fairtrade Award

As a result of their hard work within Fairtrade Fortnight this year, which ran from the 27th February until the 11th March, Bexhill College has been awarded the Fairtrade Award by Bexhill’s Fairtrade Town Committee.

As spokesperson for the Bexhill Fairtrade Town Committee, Jack Doherty wished to congratulate Bexhill College on their ‘very interesting range of tutorial activities during Fairtrade Fortnight.’ Jack also wished to thank Bexhill College for their ‘tremendous positive collaboration in producing the Fairtrade Ethical and Recycled Fashion Show and the interesting range of Fairtrade products on offer for students, staff and governors for dining and hospitality. Congratulations!’

Bexhill College has long been a valued partner of the Bexhill Fairtrade Town Committee, especially when it comes to the annual Fairtrade Ethical and Recycled Fashion Show that is held in Bexhill College’s Refectory every year. This year’s Fashion Show was no exception, which over 100 people turning up to see the creations.

Many thanks to all the staff and students for their continued efforts to supporting Bexhill’s Fairtrade Committee.
