It's All About The Arts In Paris
Info Updated November 2011
Bexhill College A level and BTEC Creative Arts students studying Textiles, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Media recently visited Paris which gave them valuable experiences and inspiration for their course work in their chosen field.
“The Paris trip has helped me hugely with my coursework as I filmed the whole trip in order to produce my documentary `A Trip to Paris` for my Media Studies project.
Overall the trip was a great success!!!!! Thank You!!!” Doug Benge
Over the three day trip they experienced the delights of one of the greatest cultural cities in the world, visiting important cultural and historical sites, along with seeing great works of art work at first hand in the Louvre, Pompidou Centre and the Musee des Arts and decoratifs.
There were also visits to some of the great landmarks including a moonlit cruise along the River Seine, the Montmartre Artists' Quarter with a stunning view from the Sacre Couer of the Paris skyline, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arch de Triomphe and a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower on the last day.
“The best parts of the trip were the river boat cruise as we got to see the Eiffel tower at night plus the Pompidou Centre as it had an artist I am currently using for photography” Camilla Saunders
Tutors Aimi Philips and Becky Holland both said it was a very successful trip thoroughly enjoyed by both students and staff.
One student said "I just really want to thank you! The trip was "maqnifique", I fell in love with Paris, met new people, got more motivated and got so many good memories! I will cherish this trip for the rest of my life!” Jarkko Tannien
