Adult Education

New Courses for September 2013 - July 2014 - Apply NOW!

Many adults enjoy learning a new skill in their spare time. Others would like to gain a qualification to help them further their career. Evening and part-time courses at Bexhill College offer the opportunity to do both.

The programme offers professional qualifications such as certificates and diplomas in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce, and GCSEs, as well as a wide range of recreational courses including Reiki, painting, astronomy, cooking, IT and alternative therapies. We hope there is something to interest everyone.

All adults are encouraged to achieve qualifications to at least level 3 if they haven't done so already. For adults between 19 and 24, where they are attempting a level 1, 2 or 3 course for the first time, there are no course fees - subject to the course being Government funded. Please ask for details as this fee remission may be the opportunity you need to improve your qualifications and your future employment prospects.

Some adults may need to achieve that elusive pass in GCSE English or Maths; others may need support in basic skills and ESOL to improve employment prospects. Some adults would like to gain A Levels or BTEC National Diplomas and there is the opportunity to study alongside our daytime students, if this is your goal. There are fee concessions for some qualification-based courses.

If you just want to learn or develop new skills for fun, our recreational courses offer the opportunity to do this, and make new friends.

Most courses are held at the main College site in Penland Road where there is plenty of onsite parking, and some are offered at the Adult Learning Centre, Jameson Mews, near Bexhill Station.
