If you haven't managed to achieve your grade C you will have to re-sit your English Language GCSE. You will do the course in one year alongside your main programme of study.
You will study a wide range of texts from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, including literature and literacy non-fiction as well as other writing such as reviews and journalism.

Explorations in Creative Reading and Writing
Paper 2:
Writers' Viewpoints and Perspectives
Non-examination Assessment:
Spoken Language
What could I do next? GCSE English is a crucial qualification for a very wide range of jobs and more advanced courses.
Entry Requirements: GCSE D or below in English or equivalent.
