Personal Training Level 3 Diploma

Entry Requirements:
A range of C grades at GCSE. Students who do not have English and Maths at grade C/4 or above will be required to take a qualification in these alongside.

Why Should You Take This Course?
This course is for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in the personal training industry. This level 3 course enables students to develop their knowledge and understanding of training clients on a one to one basis and within a group context. On completion of the course the student will be a qualified REPS recognised Level 3 Personal Trainer.


Course content
You will be studying a range of modules designed to give you the most up to date knowledge of the Personal Training Industry. This course combines units that will incorporate personal training, knowledge of anatomy and physiology and of the fundamentals of business. There is a compulsory work experience element to the course which all students will have to undertake for a minimum of a week.
The course will have large practical elements and students will be expected to participate in, lead and develop personal training sessions and programs for classmates and other college students. The lessons will take place in a classroom, the college gymnasium as well as other college sports facilities.

How will I be assessed?
Students will be required to produce a detailed portfolio for their course and build up a vast amount of evidence throughout the year in order to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the content. This course is assessed 100% on coursework.

Are there any special expenses?
There is a practical kit which costs around 120. Students will be expected to wear this to all lessons. There will be some trips throughout the year which may require a contribution towards.
