Bexhill College students Casey Sands, Molly Kemp and Lillian Tucker who are part of the College's Women's Football Academy attended a trial at Cobham, Chelsea FC 1st Team's training ground on Monday evening.
With mixed emotions of excitement and nervousness prior to the trial, the players met Karen Carney MBE who quickly reassured and gave advice to the girls. Karen Carney plays for Chelsea Ladies and is an international winger for England. She has amassed more than 100 England caps since her debut for the national team in 2005 and also represented Team GB at the 2012 Olympics.
Sports Academy Director and Women's Football Coach, Mark Linch, commented "the trial was a brilliant experience for the girls and meeting Karen Carney was inspiring and memorable for the girls".
