Bexhill College Women’s Football Academy, in association with Chelsea FC Foundation, finished off their season by playing a game against Millcreek Soccer Academy from Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. The Bexhill Women defeated the US academy in a 3-2 victory.
Lillian Tucker opened the scoring with a 25 yard strike, which was followed by a quick fire goal from Casey Sands, giving the College a 2-0 lead at half time. Millcreek Soccer Academy scored early on in the second half but Bexhill College winger, Sharn Chapman, immediately replied scoring with a precise header from a corner. Millcreek scored another goal towards the end making the friendly very competitive.
Following the match, the team were given free match tickets to watch Chelsea Ladies beat Montpellier 3-1 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinal at Kingsmeadow, Kingston upon Thames. They also got to spend a fun day at Thorpe Park.
