A team of AS Physics students have spent the last 6 months building a jumping scout robot, in partnership with two engineers from General Dynamics, as part of the STEM Engineering Education Scheme.
The students took part in the STEM EES Assessment and Celebration day on Wednesday 25th April.
On the day, the group did really well and received excellent feedback from a team of expert judges. Comments included how professional our group were and how well they had coped with the demanding technical challenges of building the robot.
There were two awards; One was for the best project and was voted for by all the students taking part, which we won! The other award was contribution to industry, which we were highly commended for and came runners up.
The students taking part were: Helena Jeffrey, Phoebe Poole, Archie Lindsay, Luca Torsello, Josh McDonald-Dick and Tomas Stoneham.
We still have spaces available for courses starting in September 2018. If you wish to apply, please complete the online application form as soon as possible.
