Vietnamese student Quyen Bao Le has received a Full-Fee Undergraduate Scholarship to the University of Westminster, one of only two places available to students worldwide.
The Full-Fee Scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver for the Public Relations and Advertising degree course that she starts in September 2017.
Quyen finished her A Levels at Bexhill College in June where she studied Maths, Sociology and Media Studies. Delighted with the opportunity and achievement of her scholarship application being chosen ahead of other applicants, she thanked her former tutors for their support.
She said: "My London dream has come true. I am so happy to have been a Bexhill College student."
Quyen was also offered a Half-Fee Scholarship to study at the University of East Anglia in Norwich but Westminster was her first choice.
As an outstanding student in Hanoi, Quyen was awarded a scholarship in September 2015 to study A Levels at Bexhill College. Her passion for Media Studies and advertising became clear during her time studying there. Quyen's work was displayed at the Bexhill College Media, Film and Fashion Awards in June 2017 where she won the Advertising and Marketing Award.
Her contribution to the College extended outside of the classroom. She generously volunteered to help with promoting the College, providing content to share on social media and being filmed for marketing videos. She even made her own video which has been shown to prospective international students around the world.
Jackie Taylor, International Director at Bexhill College, commented:
"Quyen was a wonderful student and made such a contribution to our College, she truly deserves this scholarship. We wish her all the best for her future studies at the University of Westminster."
