Bexhill College students ran explorative and artist-led workshops for local residents living with dementia.
The 'Exploring Stuff Project' funded by Arts Council England is a community project that discovers how lives are affected by the things that surround us.
The workshops led to an exhibition opening at Bexhill Museum that explores why objects are important to us, and uncovers the many roles they play. Inspired by objects and sounds, students were able to work with carers and people with dementia to produce artwork. These drawings and sculptures and along with their innovative responses to objects are displayed within the exhibition.
The Museum's unique and varied collections are used to reveal how objects enhance a sense of wellbeing, and add meaning to people's lives.
