Student Ambassadors Praised For "Exemplary Work" At DigiFest 2017

Three Bexhill College students gave a presentation at DigiFest on Wednesday 15th March at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.

Information and Learning Technology representatives (ILT reps) Benula Benny, Nirutt Sibutda, Reuel Thompson and ILT Co-ordinator Malcolm Allen spoke at the conference organised by digital education company Jisc to celebrate the power of digital.

On stage, the students talked about the technology provision at the College and how they’ve obtained students’ views on their digital experiences and the results from online surveys and student board meetings. Jisc wanted them to show how they are using technology and digital content to support their learning.

Sarah Knight, Senior Co-Design Manager of the Student Experience Team, was watching. She said:
“It was a real privilege to hear about all the exemplary work you are leading and about the impact this is having on your students. Your students did you proud and are wonderful ambassadors for your organisation.”

The staff and students were also on a panel on how to incentivise students to participate in digital surveys in the future.
