Entry Requirements:
At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-4 or A*-C, a B/6 in Maths, plus grade BB/66 or above in Science with a minimum average of 5 at GCSE.

Year 2

Organisms responses to changes in their internal and external environments
Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems
The control of gene expression

How will I be assessed?
There will be 3 exams at the end of the 2 years.
Paper 1:
2 hour exam with 91 marks worth 35%
Any content from topics 1-4, including relevant practical skills
Paper 2:
2 hour exam with 91 marks worth 35%
Any content from topics 5-8, including relevant practical skills
Paper 3:
2 hour exam with 78 marks worth 30%
Any content from topics 1-8, including relevant practical skills and practical techniques
Transferable skills - You will also develop the ability to interpret data, investigate facts and draw conclusions.
You will take part in group work and discussions and develop independent study skills.
You will be entered for the AS qualification at the end of the 1st year.
