Creative Media Production Introductory Diploma

Entry Requirements:
Equivalent to 1 A Level.
At least 4-5 GCSEs grades 9-4 or A-C including English or Maths at grade C/4 or above (as well as evidence of an interest in the creative media sectors).

Why Should You Take This Course?
Creative media gives students the opportunity to not only develop their analytical and theoretical skills but also follow a more practical route through the study of media. Through the two-year course students will cultivate their understanding of different media sectors as well as develop their practical skills in film making through a plethora of different resources including; camera work, editing and digital imaging software, studio and sound recording.

Year 1
Unit 1: Analysing Media Products and Audiences
Unit 16: Print Based Marketing
Unit 35: Social Media Products
Year 2 could include units in the following areas:
Digital Media
Graphic Narratives
TV/Film Production
Music Videos

Are there any special expenses?
It would be beneficial for students to invest in productions with regards to props and costumes. There will be opportunities for students to attend various trips and workshops. This might entail additional expense.

The course is designed so that students can gain practical and professional experience that will enable them to access Higher Education as well as entering employment within the Creative Media industries.
