At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 including English at grade 4 or above and either Dance, Drama or Performing Arts.
Why Should You Take This Course?
This course is for anyone enthusiastic about acting and theatre and will appeal to performers, directors and designers or those interested in how to create new theatre. You need to like working creatively in teams and enjoy sharing and experimenting with ideas. You need to have a willingness and independence in creating work and in developing both your practical and academic skills.

Making Theatre (practical)
Reflective report analysing and evaluating theatrical interpretation.
How will I be assessed?
Written exam - 40%
Working notebook devised performance - 30%
Performance of extract 3 , Reflective Report - 30%.
Are there any special expenses?
Theatre trips will be arranged termly as part of the course. Outside of this you should attend the theatre regularly.
What could I do next?
This A Level is excellent preparation for those wishing to pursue their interest at university or drama school, or for anyone who intends to progress to any other degree course. Previous students have progressed to drama school, as well as university drama degrees. It could lead to a career in acting, direction or dramaturgy.
