How will I be assessed?
There is an exam to assess the unit on animal welfare based upon 3 hours of research on a scenario set by the exam board. The remaining units are assessed via internal assignments.
Are there any special expenses?
You will spend 75 hours on work placement and there will be guest speakers and visits.

This qualification offers an engaging programme for those wishing to pursue a career in an animal-related industry or wanting access to a range of Higher Education courses in Zoology, Animal Behaviour, Welfare, and Conservation especially if A level Biology is taken alongside. It will also provide valuable experience for those wanting to do an apprenticeship or gain employment in the animal sector such as animal charities, pet shops, and kennels. As it is a 1 A level equivalent course you will need to take 2 other subjects alongside.
