At least 4-5 GCSE's graded 9-4 including English at grade 4 or above. Experience of performing is essential. This Qualification cannot be taken alongside Performing Arts Practice foundation Diploma (Dance) or Performing Arts Practice Foundation Diploma (Acting).

Why should you take this course? This course is aimed at those who are interested in becoming part of the entertainment industry. It covers a range of performance skills which feed into variety performances
much like you would find on a cruise ship or in a holiday resort.
Course content There will be opportunities for performances throughout the course including public performances in College. You will develop practical skills and gain a wider understanding of the performing arts industry. You will work on modules which could include:

This is a two-year course which is based on continuous assessment of both practical and written components rather than external examinations.
Are there any special expenses?
Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to take part in professional workshops, attend performances and visit resorts. At times you may need to buy costume pieces and scripts.
What could I do next?
This qualification enables you to apply for Performing Arts courses in Higher Education as well as audition for resort entertainment crew.
