The Culinary Skills Diploma teaches you practical skills and knowledge required to gain employment in this field, both locally and nationally. All practical aspects of the qualification will take place in our professional skills kitchen.

How will I be assessed?
All practical assessments are carried out in our professional kitchen within normal lessons, under timed conditions. Knowledge is assessed using written assignments and short answer question papers.
Are there any special expenses?
Students are required to purchase specific catering uniform and some small equipment, which can be purchased through the College. Students will also be required to hire a locker to store their kit.
What could I do next?
Learners that successfully complete Level 2 qualifications in Culinary Skills have the opportunity to progress onto Level 3 Professional Catering qualifications or enter the catering industry as a qualified commis chef.
