The course gives you an opportunity to develop the transferrable skills, attributes and, behaviours needed to progress to further study and ultimately to employment.

You will study a range of units designed to build your skills, these may include:

• Developing a Personal Progression Plan
• Working with Others
• Researching a Topic
• Creating an Art Image
• Branding a Product
• Supporting Children’s Learning Through Everyday Experiences
• Creating a Storyboard
• Advising Others About Healthy Lifestyles
• Exploring Travel and Tourism in the UK

How will I be assessed?
You will build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. The units are assessed through a variety of activities and evidenced through written tasks, posters, photographic evidence of events, practical’s and group tasks. The evidence can be linked to your own personal interests and learning style. Work will be assessed at a pass, merit, or distinction level.

Are there any special expenses?
There may be an opportunity to arrange work experience placement towards the end of the course. This could involve travel costs, however, we will endeavour to place you near to your home.

What could I do next?
You can continue with your studies onto another level, for example, Level 2 or you may wish to study a further Level 1 depending on your personal requirements.
