Film Studies Student Selected to Feature in International Film Festival

Bexhill College Film Studies student, Amina Bastante Pain, has produced a film which has been officially selected to feature in the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival and online monthly film showcase ‘The Lift Off Sessions’. The film titled ‘The Devil Between my Ears’, which Amina produced as coursework for her A Level, was also one of the finalists to feature in the Prague International Monthly Film Festival.

Amina was very happy to receive this news and said “My immediate response for my current selections out of the film festivals was awe and shock. I feel as if this could be the beginning of a life-long love affair with film making. It is such a unique style of expression, from all areas of life, that its influence is like no other. I am so grateful to Bexhill College for giving me the tools and encouragement to be able to have made it thus far. Their cognisance of film, and support of my art, has given me a new-found appreciation and dedication for what I am passionate about.”

Bexhill College would like to congratulate Amina for this achievement and are pleased to hear that her A Level studies have led to a new-found passion for film-making. To find out more about the Creative Arts courses, or other courses, on offer at Bexhill College, please click here.
