35 students from Vocational and AS Business travelled to Brighton for an inspirational day filled with business activities. Initially the students were hosted by the University of Brighton's Business School. The students were treated to an in depth look at university life and the vast array of opportunities available to them after their journey at Bexhill Sixth Form College has successfully concluded. Our learners then took part in a team activity where they were tasked with designing a new app that would help prospective university students in some way. The winning team created an app that allows students to swipe left and right on university courses, matching them with the perfect partners in terms of universities and courses.
After lunch, the students saw the beginnings of a robot war involving 3rd year engineering students. They then were treated to a tour of the Amex Stadium. The tour was extensive and informative taking them everywhere from the director's box to the dugouts. Following this the students were lucky enough to have a talk from Brighton and Hove Albion's Head of Marketing. He provided an insight in to how Brighton have had to adapt their strategies now that they are on a global stage in the Premier League. Throughout the tour and the talk our students asked some very impressive questions and showed a genuine interest in the business developments at the Amex.
