Politics students attend masterclass at the University of Sussex

Our A Level Politics students attended a Politics Masterclass run by the nationally renowned Politics Department at the University of Sussex. Students attended a series of lectures that aimed to introduce them to degree level study of Politics, and further their understanding of some of the key topics and processes they study on their current course.

The lectures included an analysis of the need for ‘the state' through looking at the anarchist and liberal approaches to the need for law and order, an enquiry into which (if any) EU member state can be held accountable for the economic recession within the Eurozone, and an evaluation of ‘anti-politics' and its impact on UK Politics.

In addition, our students won the intercollege quiz which required them to compete against students from other local colleges by demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of contemporary political issues.
