Bexhill College was invited to attend the prestigious Farley's Art Trust Art Awards on Friday 25th October at the Farley's Gallery in Chiddingly, East Sussex.
This biennial event celebrates the achievements of GCSE and A Level art students from schools and colleges across East Sussex. The Awards are presented in a range of categories: painting, sculpture/mixed media, textiles, photography, works on paper, and sketch books. It is an excellent opportunity for students to receive wider feedback and appreciation of their work, as well as being able to show it in a professional context in a public gallery.
Four students from the College gained the following awards:
-Highly Commended Runner Up Award for A Level Fine Art student
-2D/Mixed Media Award for A Level Textile Design student
-Two A Level Textile Design students' work was selected for the exhibition. Their work was selected to be exhibited from submissions from participating schools and colleges across East Sussex.
Bexhill College is extremely impressed by its talented students; congratulations to everyone involved for their hard work.
The award-winning work will be exhibited in the Farley's Gallery when it re-opens in April 2020.
