Bexhill College Compete in South East Swimming Gala

On Friday 22nd November, Bexhill College Swimming Academy travelled to the Portsmouth Mountbatten Centre for the South East Regional Association of Colleges Swimming Gala. The College competed in the 50 metre and 100 metre individual races, as well as 50 metre freestyle and medley relays.

The students really enjoyed competing against some excellent competitors. The College finished 3rd which was a great result. This comes soon after the team competing at The Nationals at the London Aquatic Centre.

Clare Cole, Director for Sport said: "It was an excellent result for the dedicated Swimming Academy team who train hard and compete well.”

Sacha Djerfi, Swimming Academy coach added: "We have amazing swimming teams this year who are continually improving”.

The best individual performance came from Finley Naylor, who won the 50-metre backstroke.

Bexhill College runs a range of different Sports Academies in addition to swimming, including table tennis, football, tennis and rugby, and many others. To find out more about upcoming trials in 2020 for these Academies and for information on how to sign up, visit
