Bexhill College concluded its programme of training sessions with local Personal Trainer Richard Pringle of RPCC. The students undertook a series of practical and theoretical sessions with Richard to supplement their learning from the course. The sessions included Combat Conditioning, Run club, Urbanfit and Beachfit, which focussed on different practical elements of Personal Training. Richard also delivered two seminar-based sessions looking at logo design, advertising through social media and how to be a self-employed Personal Trainer.
Sean Noble, Sport Teacher, commented:
"The sessions Richard delivers to the students are essential in allowing us to apply the course to real life, which we would otherwise struggle to do. For the students to work so closely with someone who has achieved so much, within a hugely competitive industry, really enhances the experience on offer to them. The step up in the student's performance and understanding is evident once they have worked with Richard, as they are able to see what a working Personal Trainer looks like and ultimately, the level they have to be working at to be competitive within the sector.”
Unfortunately, this is the last year that Richard will be delivering the sessions to our students as he is retiring from the industry but, his contribution over the last three years has not been lost on students or staff.
Sean also stated;
"Richard has made a huge contribution to the course and has passed on his knowledge to a significant amount of now fully qualified Personal Trainers. His supportive and open approach to the students reflects his friendly personality and I would quite often see Richard still talking to students, offering advice and guidance long after the sessions had finished. Richard's retirement is a huge loss to the Personal Training scene but the impact in the local area will be felt for some time.
The College would like to wish Richard the best of luck for the future and place on record our sincere gratitude for what he has contributed in the last 3 years.”
