Open Evenings Update

Thank you to everyone who has registered to attend our in-person Open Evenings so far. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our College and telling you more about the outstanding opportunities you can have if you choose to study at Bexhill College in September 2022.

As you will appreciate, there is a lot of interest from prospective students and their parents in attending this event. Due to the ongoing situation with Covid circulating in the community, and the need to keep everyone as safe as we can, we have put a number of requirements in place. These are:

  • Attendees must register online for an arrival slot and must arrive at the time that they have booked. This way, we can stagger the arrival of guests and ensure a safe flow of people around the College. Please be aware that, if you do not register your arrival time online, you will be required to wait and may not be allowed entry if there are too many people in the building.
  • Attendees will be asked to wear a face-covering whilst on the premises, with the exception of those who are exempt for medical reasons. Face coverings will be available at the entrance for those who do not have their own.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available, and we ask that attendees use this or bring their own to use whilst on the premises. Alternatively, attendees will be able to wash their hands, if this is preferred.

Rooms will be set out to allow appropriate social distancing and we would request attendees respect this by only entering the classrooms if there is sufficient space to do so. Attendees are asked to respect social distancing when talking to staff.

These requirements have been put in place to reassure attendees and staff and to enable us to offer a live event. This is our first public event, after a year of no public events and we are pleased to be able to welcome visitors to the College again in a safe manner.

We understand that some people may not feel comfortable attending a large event or may not wish to follow these guidelines. If this is the case, we are running our virtual open event at the same time and you can find out more about the College and the subjects we offer in this way. We will be offering tours later in the year, on a first come first served basis, so this would provide an opportunity to see the college facilities.

We hope you will understand why we are putting these precautions in place and will be willing to follow them if you want to access the live open evenings.
