Today, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we joined the country in paying silence tribute to all those who served and sacrificed so much.
Bexhill College student, Harry Woolston, commented, "As a sergeant from 54 (Eastbourne) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets, I take personal responsibility in educating the many of the sacrifice and reality of war. I have been learning and educating others about the Second World War for almost 5 years, and each year on remembrance Day, I am moved by people's contributions to remembering those who gave their lives to keep this, and other countries, free from those who opposed democracy, freedom and human rights.
This year, is the first in nearly 2 years that we are able to remember those who paid the biggest sacrifice to keep this nation safe today, and for the future.
I urge you to do what you can today, and this week, to help spread the message of remembrance."
