Bexhill College Governor A Level Law Session

John Stebbing, Family law Mediator and previously a Solicitor, spoke with our A Level law students about the various routes into different law professions. He provided an inspirational talk about his route into the legal profession and highlighted the importance of work experience to support their progression into law. John was able to highlight some of the interesting cases he has worked on whilst also showing how as a solicitor your role is dependent on the law you choose to practice in.

Gemma Webb Subject Lead for Law stated: As there are various legal roles in the profession it can be hard for a student to decide what route suits them and their learning style. This talk allowed the students to consider their options for the future with the aim of inspiring them into working in the legal profession.

Zachary Spooner Stated: His passion for the legal system and his stories on previous cases he dealt with were interesting. This has supported my law course by giving me a greater insight into possible careers in the English legal system. This has informed me about the different routes by expanding the possible routes I could take to get where I want to be.
