Student Union Raises Hundreds For Victims of Crime

Last week, Bexhill College’s Student Union had been fundraising for Victim Support, a UK based independent charity dedicated to supporting victims of crime in England and Wales. They provide specialist help to support victims to cope and recover in order to get their lives back on track.

The Student Union organised the event despite COVID-19 restrictions, encouraging students and staff to wear red and donate both online and in person.

Hannah, the Chair of the Student Union said “it is important to recognise and support all victims of crime. From the current conversation it is apparent that more needs to be done in order to help people feel safer and back in control”.

In total, the students managed to raise £297.70 over two days. The Student Union would like to extend their thanks to all staff and students that wore read and donated to the cause in these tough times.
