Early Years Nursery spreads Christmas cheer

Pupils at Early Years Nursery have been spreading Christmas cheer when they delivered pictures to Lennox Lodge Residential Care in Bexhill

The nursery has been learning about people being all alone and not seeing their families at Christmas. They asked the children how they could cheer the people up. The children said “let’s make some pictures!” The children were very eager to get creative with pictures that would brighten the resident’s day

After contacting Lennox Lodge Residential home and asking if they could cheer up the residents, we presented pictures painted and drawn by the nursery children. They were so pleased to hear from the outside world and were excited to get their Christmas delivery

Nursery staff and pupils met a member of nursing staff outside and socially distanced to deliver the pictures. The next day they received a phone call to say how happy the residents were to receive their gifts
