The Bexhill College Football Academy, in association with the Chelsea Football Club Foundation and in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Football Club, were pleased to welcome a raft of new players into their Academy set-up for the 2020-21 season.
The Women's Academy accepted an impressive 18 new players, which will add high quality and competition to the current 2nd and 3rd year players within the squad.
The Men’s Academy also had high numbers in attendance and have welcomed 30 new players in preparation for the start of the new season for all three of the Men’s squads.
The Men’s Academy fixtures will begin next Wednesday, with the 1st team squad playing under the identity of Eastbourne Borough away to Ebbsfleet United.
Academy Director, Sean Noble, said “We have trialled over 100 players this week across both the Men’s and Women’s Academies with the playing standard being very high. It is very pleasing to see such high numbers attending, which is a compliment to strong reputation the Football Academy has within the local community. We are very excited by the look of the Women’s Academy and the new players who have joined us. We feel that combining them with the players we already have will make us very competitive. We hope that the opportunity to represent the Football Academy will really add to the experience the students enjoy by attending Bexhill College.”
