Environment

Our nursery offers a stimulating environment, which includes:

  • Natural wooded area and equipment
  • Balanceability training
  • Separate two-year-old area with garden
  • Soft play area
  • Vegetable/plant growing patch
  • Sandpits
  • Sensory Room

Natural outside learning is encouraged in the ‘Twiglet Wood’. The children experience all the areas of learning within a natural wooded area, which includes outdoor development, such as building dens, preparing wood for fires and a log circle for stories and singing. Risky play is promoted through climbing trees.

The nursery provides ‘Balanceability’ training where children learn to glide on a balance bike, moving on to riding a bike without stabilisers. Once they have achieved this, they receive a certificate.
