Where Will You Live?
Where a student lives strongly contributes to ensuring their studies are a positive experience. Both types of accommodation ensure that our international students get the very most out of their studies at College and their overall experience of living in a foreign country for the first time.
International students who study at Bexhill College have a choice of accommodation; the College’s boarding houses or a UK family ‘homestay’. Boarding accommodation is all within walking distance from the College gates offering a choice of bedrooms, most with ensuite bathrooms, along with the option to include a full-board catering package.
Alternatively, you can choose a ‘homestay’ which will enable you to experience the real British culture. You will stay with a British family in their home and will have the opportunity to practice conversational English with them. Great care is taken to find the best choice for each individual student and our homestay accommodations are regularly visited by the International Officer and are checked to ensure student safety and comfort.
Boarding Accommodation
Our international boarding houses are all within walking distance from the College. A choice of rooms is available with the option of ensuite or shared bathrooms.

Your accommodation includes:
- A bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe
- 1 Duvet and pillow and 2 sets of bed linen and towels are provided*
- Live-in house parent with guardianship
- Bedding and towels are laundered once a fortnight
- Optional full board catering package available**
- Students have access to a shared dining room, lounge and kitchen
- Access to the laundry room for the washing of personal items***
- Access to a garden
- Clothes airer & washing basket

The catering package consists of food provided at the accommodation for students to prepare their own breakfast and a light evening meal. A cooked hot lunch is available for students in the College canteen Monday to Friday. At weekends and College holidays, the House Parent will prepare a cooked evening meal for the students at the boarding house.

Homestay Accommodation
A homestay will enable you to experience real British culture.
You will stay with a British family, and they will welcome you into their homes as part of their family. Some homestay providers may have more than 1 student staying with them and they may be of different nationalities.
Great care is taken when recruiting our host families. All our homestay accommodations are regularly visited by the International Officer and are checked to ensure your safety and comfort. Members of host families over the age of 18 will have a DBS check.
Accommodation includes:-
- Private bedroom with a desk for study and storage for clothes.
- Access to a washing machine for personal laundry.
- Linen and towels are laundered weekly.
- Household bills including WiFi.
- Meals provided are:

- Breakfast – food will be provided for the students to help themselves.
- Lunch – food will be provided for students to make their own packed lunch to take to College. Food will also be provided for students to make their own lunch at weekends if they are home.
- The evening meal will be a cooked meal provided by the host family.
- A reasonable size room decorated and furnished to a good standard.
- Well heated or ventilated room (according to the time of the year).
- Access to a bath/shower daily.
