Refund Policy
All students must pay their tuition fees and the invoiced accommodation fees before they commence their studies at Bexhill College.
Before a student arrives at Bexhill College
Once a place has been accepted, if a student decides to withdraw their application for whatever reason, the College will refund any tuition fees and accommodation fees already paid but will withhold an amount of £300 for administration. Any deposit paid for accommodation will also be withheld. However, if we are able to fill the accommodation, we will be able to refund the deposit also. Any refund due will be processed within 30 working days.
If a student is withdrawing due to a visa refusal from the UKVI, the College will refund any tuition fees and accommodation fees already paid but will withhold £300 for administration. Any deposit paid for accommodation will also be withheld. However, if we are able to fill the accommodation, we will be able to refund the deposit also. A copy of the rejection letter from the UKVI must be provided before a refund will be processed. Any refund due will be processed within 30 working days from receipt of the rejection letter.
Once a student has arrived at Bexhill College
If on arrival, the College is unable to accept a student on the course of their choice, an appropriate alternative will be offered and a refund will not be given.
In the unlikely event that all of the courses a student has chosen do not run, an appropriate alternative will be offered. If an alternative cannot be offered, a refund of the tuition fees and the accommodation fees will be given less a £300 administration fee.
If a student decides to return home permanently before the end of their course for any reason, e.g. illness and the College remains open, there will be no refund of tuition under any circumstances as a place is held for the student in the class.
Homestay Accommodation
The College will be able to refund the homestay accommodation fees less any notice period required by the host family. Please also see the T&C of Homestay Accommodation. Any refund due will be processed within 30 days.
Boarding Accommodation
A refund of any accommodation fees for residents in the boarding accommodation cannot be given as there is a 45-week agreement in place. Please also see the T&C of Student Accommodation.
If a student needs to return home temporarily due to illness, hospital treatment, family emergency, etc., there will be no refund of tuition or accommodation fees as the place in any accommodation is kept and a place in the class is held.
If a student is asked to leave the College or the boarding accommodation before completing their course due to unacceptable behaviour as defined by the College, no refund will be given and no credit note will be issued against an invoice that is due.
Bexhill College strongly recommends that personal insurance is taken out to cover any loss as a result of the illness of a student.
Late Arrivals
Delayed travel or late arrival onto courses can be arranged on request. However, there will be no reduction in tuition fees as the student can access the tuition online. There will also be no reduction of the fees paid for the boarding accommodation/homestay place as the room is held for the student.
