Course content
Philosophy of Religion
An exploration into the nature of knowledge, traditional arguments for the existence of God, whether humanity possesses a soul and the nature of God.
Topics include Ancient Philosophical Influences, God’s Existence, Religious Experience and much more.
Religion & Ethics
Can we establish a standard of ‘good’? What is the correct moral action regarding contemporary issues such as Euthanasia?
Topics include Normative Ethical Theories such as Utilitarianism, Ethical Issues such as Euthanasia.
Developments in Christian Thought
What are the core teachings of Christianity? Are Christian values and ideals compatible with an increasingly secular society?
Topics include Christian Ethics, The Nature & Person of Jesus Christ, Christianity & Secularism.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by three two-hour written examinations.
