Your College Application

We want to make your application to Bexhill College as straightforward as possible.

Please use our prospectus, our Open Evenings, and our website to find out as much as you can about Bexhill College and then choose which course or courses you want to take. If you can’t decide on a particular course, don’t worry, we will be able to discuss your options at interview.

You can complete an application form through Careers East Sussex, the College’s online application form or download and complete a paper form and post it to the College. Once we have received an application through any of these routes, we will set up an advisory interview. A member of our staff will discuss your choices with you and answer any questions you have. After the interview we will send you the outcome of your interview.

When GCSE results are published in August, we will invite you to enrolment, where your final choice of programme can be confirmed.

The application deadline for students enrolling in September 2026 is the 15th of January 2026.

Yes! Even though you may have missed the application deadline, we do accept late entries. However, those who apply after the deadline will not be guaranteed a place on the courses they apply for as these are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Yes! There will be several opportunities for you to change your course choices throughout the year, including when we invite you to an advisory interview and after the transition day in July. Students may also change their mind after they get their GCSE results because they do better than expected or they have decided on a specific career since they made their application and need to student a specific subject. If you change your mind after your advisory interview, we will do our best to accommodate any requests. However, if a course is full, you need to go on a waiting list.

It is essential that you attend your advisory interview as this is how we determine the courses which are right for you. In this interview, our staff will discuss the subjects you have put on your application form that you would like to study, discuss your expected GCSE results and your career aspirations. At the end of the interview, if we think Bexhill College is the right college for you and we can offer a course which suits your needs, you will be offered a place.

Yes! If you have offered a place at the College but did not meet the entry requirements of your chosen course, please come and talk to us. We will discuss your options and try to offer you another course which will be suitable for you and your aspirations.

Whilst this does happen from time to time, you can still enrol at Bexhill College. Every student is entitled to a free education until they are 19. Therefore, your first year can be used to retake a level 2 or level 1 course which, if you pass, will enable you to progress onto a course at the next level of study.
