Travelling by Car

If you are travelling to Bexhill College by car use our useful links below, travel times below are based on usual traffic, and journey times may vary.

Parking For Students

The College has limited parking facilities. Students need a permit to be able to park on-site and should apply via reception. An assigned number of permits are issued each year. Motorbikes can be parked in the designated area within the College site and must be registered at reception.

Parking For Parents & Visitors

The car park has restricted access with a limited number of spaces. Please buzz the intercom at the barrier and state your reason for entry. This system does not operate for parents’ evenings, open evenings, or other major college events when limited parking is available for parents. If parents or visitors have mobility difficulties, they should contact the College in advance and special arrangements will be made.

If students are being dropped off or collected from College at any time, drivers are asked to pull into the bus lay-by or drive into the car park. Parking elsewhere presents a danger to pedestrians and vehicles. The police and traffic wardens are often on duty outside the College.

Car Park Barrier

A barrier is operational at the car park entrance. If parents are coming in for an appointment during the day with a staff member, there will be access control at the barrier where an intercom can be used to state your reason for entry. Parents will be able to access the main building from the car park.

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian access from the road will be via the front entrance only. There will be security staff at the entrance of the College and all students are required to scan their ID card at the gates to gain entry, in addition to wearing their lanyard at all times whilst on the premises. Visitors will be directed to the Reception. We hope that both of these developments will increase the safety and security for all who use the College premises.
