Why should you take this course?

This course will be suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about working with children and adults. The Health and Childcare course will give you an understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to work with children and adults.

Course content

Sharing learning experiences with children.

Healthy eating for families.

Finding out about forest schools.

Supporting babies to play.

Principles and values in health and social care and childcare.

Communication in health and social care and childcare.

Person-centred support in health, social care, and childcare.

Understand a range of service provision and roles within health, social care, and childcare.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by your tutor using a variety of methods. This will include written assignments, posters, practical assessments, and discussions.

Opportunity for work experience:We encourage students to attend a week of work experience during the year. A DBS is required for some placements.

There are no special expenses for this course.

What could I do next?

Upon achieving this qualification, you can progress onto a Level 2 qualification or an apprenticeship.
