Why should you take this course?

The T Level in Health will provide students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment, higher-level technical training or further study in the Health and Science sector.

Course content

You will complete 315 hours of work placement in a variety of healthcare settings.

Core Component The core content for the T Level will cover the following areas:

  • Working within the Health and Science sector
  • Health and Safety and Environmental regulations in the Health and Science sector
  • Managing information and data within the Health and Science sector
  • Providing person-centred care
  • Infection Prevention and Control in Health Settings
  • Good Scientific and Clinical Practice
  • Core Science concepts

How will I be assessed?

The core component will be assessed through two written examinations and through a practical employer-set project. In addition to this, Maths, English and general digital skills will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant contexts. The occupational specialism will be assessed with a case study assessment, practical assessments and a professional discussion.

Are there any special expenses?

As an integral part of this course, students will be required to attend work placement which will incur a cost for travel, a DBS check and a uniform. You will also be required to have a course of Hep B vaccinations.
