Football Academies

Bexhill College Football Academy

In association with Chelsea Football Club & in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Football Club

In 2023, Bexhill College First XI in Association with the Chelsea Football Club, were crowned champions of the Sussex Schools FA U19 Cup. The College continues to maintain to compete at the highest level by competing in the National Alliance Under 19 League as well as various Sussex Schools FA competitions, the English Schools National Cup, and the AoC South East Regional final.

Both Men’s and Women’s Academies are selected based on ability through a series of open trials which are held across the academic year. The Academy programme is designed around the subject choices of the students to enable students to enrol on any study programme they wish. The Academy programme consists of one 2-hour training session and either a match or another 2-hour training session per week.

Students can progress from the Academy into a range of different pathways including access to Higher Education, American University scholarships and progression, employment within Eastbourne Borough Football Club or progression into full-time football.

Development Academy

This brand-new academy programme will look to host international students from across the globe in addition to UK-based students. In a non-competitive format, this academy will focus on developing players technically and tactically during the academic year in both training sessions and friendly matches against other colleges in the area. UK nationals can choose to trial for the Bexhill College Football Academy the following academic year, whilst all players (when 18 years old) will have the chance to be scouted by both professional and semi-professional clubs from up and down the country.
