Today, Bexhill College hosted its second progression fair of the academic year that specifically catered towards students in our PEBL sector. Students had the opportunity to speak to people from a range of universities and local businesses with 20 stalls available for them to interact with. Business and Economics students took part in the International Trade Simulation this week. This was introduced by Katie Baker, a current American Express employee. During the event students were introduced to the concept of international trade and they learnt why trade between countries is essential. Students are required to use a given set of resources to make ‘products’ which are then exchanged for ‘cash’. Last week Bexhill College hosted its first careers and progression fair of the academic year with this event specifically pertaining to social science and sports students. We had 17 stall holders present for this event ranging from universities such as University of Brighton, Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Law. As well as uniformed services such as Sussex police and the army offering students an insight into how they can make progress onto careers in those fields of work [...]

This week we have hosted guest speakers from a range of universities including Canterbury, Sussex, Portsmouth, Brighton and Kent. They have delivered talks on personal statements and how to research different university provisions.
