Employer Encounter – Environment Agency talks to Geography Students

Laura Stronge, Senior Advisor for the Environment Agency, delivered an engaging and informative talk to Year 1 A Level Geography students on local coastal management strategies and what they will look like in the future. She addressed the challenges of sea levels rising from climate change and reviewed recent surveys addressing local concerns and opinions. Media Level 2 and IT Level 2 students successfully completed a freelance-based work placement with Kyle Partnership (https://www.kylepartnership.com/). Students were working on a live employer brief set by Brian Drinkwater for 4 weeks. Media students recreated the Kyle Partnership website using Wix, developing key design skills and gaining insight into real-world web design practices.
