On 10th June we hosted our Engineer of the Year Awards for Year 1 and 2 learners across our Engineering T Level, BTEC AAQ and Level 2 courses; and what a turnout! Jem Wilson, an economics student at the college, has won a prestigious national essay competition hosted by the University of Warwick Economics Society as part of its Warwick Future Economists programme. Jem’s essay was selected as the overall winner after an impressive competitive process. Following last year’s success of being named ‘Small Provider of the Year’ at the AAT annual awards. Bexhill College has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s event. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the professional body for accounting technicians and bookkeepers. After such a positive second term, it is time to conclude by adding to the exclusive Engineer of the Term list. Every single nominee shone, and we were extremely proud of each student, including those who were not nominated. The department has truly been shining with promise.
