Maths Integration Bee 2024

Last Friday, the maths department held its annual competition, The Integration Bee. Students compete against each other to solve integrals to decide who is this year's 'Grand Integrator'. After an impressive performance in all three rounds, this year's title went to first-year Further Maths student, Cindy Le! Well done to all students involved for making it a thoroughly enjoyable event.

Football Academy Alumnus Signs for Sutton United FC

Bexhill College Football Academy alumnus Jack Taylor has signed a professional contract with Sutton United. Before making his mark at Sutton United, Jack honed his skills in the Football Academy at Bexhill Sixth Form College in association with the Chelsea Football Club Foundation. Bexhill College students complete the British Biology Olympiad

Four Bexhill College students recently completed the British Biology Olympiad (BBO), an advanced problem-solving competition for A Level students consisting of two, 45-minute multiple-choice papers that stimulate students with an interest in Biology to expand and demonstrate their talents. The students were presented with unfamiliar topics and ideas, thus challenging their problem-solving skills and understanding of core principles. Hairdressing students style hair for a photoshoot

Our Level 3 Hairdressing Studies students took part in a creative photoshoot which will be presented at their end of year hairdressing and barbering show in May. These finished photographs will form the last part of their creative hairdressing design skills unit. Bexhill 6th Form College is officially ‘Outstanding.’ The highest grade possible was confirmed following a recent Ofsted inspection which looked into all areas of the college. Our Music and Enrichment students delivered a fantastic performance live on The Refectory stage to mark the end of the term. Both bands performed renditions of popular songs which were highly enjoyed by large crowds at lunchtime. The students and Refectory staff watching on were very impressed by the bands playing. After a successful 20-year partnership at Bexhill College, the co-location with Glyne Gap School post 16 facility (The Faculty) will end this academic year - as the college continues to grow. East Sussex County Council has secured new premises at Sarson House in Dorset Road, Bexhill for the use of Glyne Gap School post 16 students and governors are working with the council to ensure these premises meet students’ needs and aspirations.
