A team of students travelled to Donnington Grove Golf club on Wednesday 23rd September to represent Bexhill College in the 1st tournament of the AOC intercollegiate golf tour 2026/27.
The course was a tough challenge having recently hosted a qualifying tournament for the Euro Pro tour. For many of the team this was their 1st experience of travelling away to a tournament and managing this environment as well as competing was a challenge they were able to rise to improving their planning, psychology, strategy and course management competition skills.
Stand out performances in included Ezra Harland shooting one under par finishing second overall in the event out of 80 students.
Tom Hill shot 84 finishing 37th.
In the nett category Elijah Morris was 77 finishing 25th and Hayden Miller 85 finishing 60th.
The tour continues next week with the students travelling to Cleeve Hill GC to compete in the next tournament.
