Level 3 Hospitality and Travel and Tourism students visited The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne to look around some of their rooms, taking note of the facilities, design and methods used for cleaning and servicing accommodation operations. As part of the Travel and Tourism specification, students focused on sustainability and the technology that is being used throughout the hotel. Glen Harrison, Talent Development Manager for Concord Hotels, visited the College last week to speak to Level 3 Certificate and Subsidiary Diploma Hospitality students about the management training programme on offer after completion of their studies. Students were able to ask questions about the programme and find out what Glen looks for in the recruitment for the programme. Work-Related Learning: Level 3 Hospitality Students Present Research Findings To Bluebells Tearoom

Level 3 Hospitality students have been working on an industry-related project and last week visited Bluebells Tearoom in Battle to feedback the findings of their research. Over the past few weeks, students have worked independently to research ideas, produce questionnaires, and analyse data gathered. Students presented their work to the owner using powerpoints or display boards highlighting ideas they have to support the business. They then had a lovely morning finished with tea, coffee, and cakes.
