Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Hospitality students visited The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne this week to speak to executive chef, Hrvoje Loncarevic, about factors to consider when planning menus. Students go on Ski trip to Bormio in Italy

Forty students travelled to Bormio, Italy to take part in a ski trip designed to help them learn or further develop their skills. During the week, students participated in structured ski lessons tailored to their ability levels, allowing beginners to build confidence and more experienced skiers to refine their technique and progress on a variety of slopes. First-year Geography students investigated gentrification in Brick Lane and Spitalfields in East London

On Wednesday 14th January, First-year Geography students carried out a fieldwork investigation as part of their course. For one of the units of this project, Changing Places, they had to investigate the impact of regeneration schemes, where they had to compare a nearby area to somewhere further away, Hastings and Brick Lane in Tower Hamlets. Students visit Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre to practice ahead of ski trip

On 6th January, we took 16 beginner skiers to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre to take part in a structured ski lesson in preparation for the upcoming ski trip to Bormio, Italy. The session was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of skiing in a safe and controlled environment before travelling abroad. Geology students work with In Situ Site Investigation to help resolve landslide

First- and second-year geology students worked with In Situ Site Investigation to carry out cone penetration testing to assess ground lithology and stability as part of a project addressing a landslide in St Leonards. Hospitality students bring festive cheer to Eridge House Care Home

Second year Level 3 Hospitality students planned and managed a Christmas event at Eridge House Care Home as part of an assignment. They arranged for Level 2 Performing Arts to sing Christmas songs and first year Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care to support residents with Christmas Activities.
