In April, we took 20 students to Selwyn College, Cambridge University, to take part in a two-day residential masterclass in Philosophy. Students took part in a series of lectures on Epistemology, Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy. In the evening, they had dinner at a local restaurant with the University’s professor and stayed in the historical accommodation on site. The next day, students took part in a series of seminars with the Cambridge Philosophy department’s lecturers on the nature of the mind, Aristotle’s virtue ethics, and philosophical scepticism.
The students were also given a tour of Selwyn College and a focused session on applying to Oxford and Cambridge.
Overall, it was a fantastic session and a great opportunity for the students.
