Apprenticeship Awareness Sessions For 2nd Year Students

As part of our cross-college Tutorial programme, last week, all 2nd year students attended information and awareness sessions on Apprenticeships. Students developed an understanding of where and how to apply for Apprenticeships, the different levels of study available, and the current vacancies/sector information for the local area. These sessions provided students with a wider grasp of post-college progression options available to them. We would like to thank the Sussex Council of Training Providers for their support over the week.

On Tuesday the 6th of June, Bexhill College held its biggest progression fair with over 50 stallholders. These included universities, apprenticeship providers, local and national employers, community groups, and voluntary organisations. First-year students were able to use this event to kickstart their progression research, alongside producing their UCAS applications within tutorial sessions. National Apprenticeships Week: Tutorial Programme Guest Speakers

As part of the College tutorial programme this week, all second-year students were visited by guest speakers from the Sussex Council of Training Providers and the Department for Education. The speakers introduced the students to apprenticeships, covering all information including higher and degree options. Students were then supported in registering and researching for live vacancies.
