Our Health students were joined by a group of professionals from the Health and Social Care industry who delivered a workshop with activities based on their professional job roles. The job roles included Resus Practitioners, Midwifery, Environmental Health Officer, Occupational Therapist, Staff Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This encounter allowed the students to gain insight into various careers and encouraged the students to try new activities and speak to the professionals with any questions they may have.

All first-year Level 3 protective service students had a visit from local lifeguards working with the RNLI. They were given an informative talk on water safety and also given guidance on how to apply to gain an NVBLQ to become a beach lifeguard. Students were then given the chance to see some of their emergency response equipment and ask questions to the lifeguards.
